Harvey Elliott has been ‘begging’ his Liverpool team-mate Mo Salah to extend his stay at the club.
Salah’s current contract will be up at the end of next season, and terms for a new deal are still yet to be agreed.
This is likely to sound alarm bells for Liverpool fans, especially after speculation about Sadio Mane‘s future with the club.

‘I’ve been begging [Salah] to sign every single day, and I think the fans have as well,’ Harvey Elliot told This is Anfield.
‘He’s been a great asset to this club, he’s got us to so many finals by scoring winning goals, important goals.’
Salah has 156 goals in 253 Liverpool appearances and has won five major trophies with the club in as many seasons.
Elliott continued: ‘He’s a great person to learn off and I’ve tried to get really close to him for the small details so I can be up there with him one day.
